Appeal Board
To hear appeals lodged against decisions of the Committee on Shopping-related Practices, the Compliance Committee, the Consumer Relations Committee, the Mainland China Inbound Tour Compliance Committee, the Membership Committee or the Tourist Guide and Tour Escort Deliberation Committee.
The Appeal Board consists of two types of members:
- Trade members: Association Member's representatives on the TIC Board and Elected Directors; and
- Independent members: appointed by the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, including Professor Alfred Chan BBS, JP , Mr Chan Tong, Mr Conrad Chiu, Mr Stephen Hui JP , Mr Larry Kwok JP , Professor Lee Ngok JP , Mr Li Kai Ming, Ms Margaret W L Ma, Mr Tony Tse and Mrs Gloria Wong.
Each meeting of the Appeal Board must consist of three independent members and two trade members. For details about the composition of an Appeal Board meeting and the procedures for lodging and handling appeals, please refer to the document " The TIC Appeal Board and Appeal Procedures ".
