Hong Kong residents reminded to heed Brazil's visa requirements

Hong Kong residents reminded to heed Brazil's visa requirements

The TIC is informed by the Immigration Department that as the agreement between the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil on Exemption of Visa Requirements has not yet entered into force, HKSAR passport holders still require a visa to enter Brazil.

The Consulate General of Brazil in Hong Kong has agreed to put in place some special interim arrangements: HKSAR passport holders who have already departed for Brazil will be allowed to enter Brazil without a visa. However, those who depart for Brazil on or after November 13 will require a visa.
