Degree holders may take Tourist Guide Accreditation Examination directly

From 1 March 2010, a new category of certificates is recognised under the Tourist Guide Accreditation System, namely Category VI certificates. The new arrangement allows holders of a bachelor’s degree or above in any discipline to take the Tourist Guide Accreditation Examination, which includes a written examination and a road test, to be held by the TIC after studying on their own. If they pass the Accreditation Examination and satisfy the requirements, they will be eligible for applying for the Tourist Guide Pass.

Those who wish to take the Tourist Guide Accreditation Examination may download the important notes on and an application form for the Examination. For enquiries, please contact the Training Department on 2807-1199.
