Hong Kong Week at Shanghai Expo

Hong Kong Week at Shanghai Expo

The following information is provided by the Information Services Department:

Hong Kong Week

Hong Kong will stage a feast of performances and activities during Hong Kong Week (18-22 October 2010) for the Shanghai Expo. An ensemble of performances including pop, classical music, jazz, opera, Cantonese opera, as well as exhibitions of modern art and culture will capture the essence of Hong Kong's traditional and modern, East-meets-West culture, presenting the city's diversity and dynamism to the world.

A highlight of Hong Kong Week will be the daily parade, which starts at 12 noon and will run along Bocheng Road inside the Expo Park's Pudong site. Marvel at the giant "pop-up book" portraying Hong Kong's scenes and lifestyle, complemented by a colourful troupe of energetic dancers, the Hong Kong Police Band, a jazz ensemble, cuddly characters from Ocean Park, and a delicious display of giant food mascots who will bring popular Hong Kong snacks to life in a fun-filled way.
