Hong Kong visa requirement for nationals of South Sudan

The Immigration Department announced that nationals of the Republic of South Sudan, which became an independent state on 9 July 2011, require a referred visa for Hong Kong for whatever purposes except those who are in transit and remain on the airside with immediate effect. However, holders of United Nations Laissez Passer (UNLP) coming to or transiting Hong Kong for official UN business and operating seacrew on board vessels do not require a visa for Hong Kong.
