Assistants (1-year contract)

To provide support to the TIC’s work in relation to the transition to the new regulatory regime of the travel industry under the Travel Industry Ordinance (Cap. 634), including:

  • Assisting in the preparatory tasks for the transitional arrangements relating to Tourist Guide Passes and Tour Escort Passes, as well as the Continuing Professional Development Scheme for Tourist Guides and related training and examination matters;
  • Assisting in the handling of complaints, suspected non-compliance cases, appeal cases, and compilation of reports for the cases to be transferred to the Travel Industry Authority (“TIA”);
  • Providing secretarial and administrative support for the relevant committees/working groups in relation to the transitional arrangements;
  • Assisting in the preparation for transfer of documents, records and systems to TIA, including e-levy applications and account management, disciplinary records against travel agents, tourist guides and tour escorts, and any other relevant matters; and
  • Performing any other related duties as required
Qualification Requirements
  • Form 7 / HKDSE or above
  • At least 1 year’s relevant working experience
  • Patient, mature team player, good telephone manner and communication skills
  • Good command of written Chinese and English, and fluent spoken Cantonese, Putonghua and English
  • Proficiency in Chinese and English word processing, MS Word & Excel
