The 3rd Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival, themed “More Than Joy”, features a diverse range of programmes along the line of “happiness”. The "Comics Fun Experience Gallery" Exhibition, one of the highlights of the Festival has been open on 5 April 2025, is going to take travellers on a journey through the classic comic and animation characters, highlighting their deep-rooted influence on Hong Kong’s cultural landscape:

This exhibition features four display containers showcasing various characters, along with a group of adorable chibi-style comic figurines:

Container 1: Golden Years
A “milk tea stall” where travellers can take photos with classic characters like Old Master Q and the Big Potato.
Container 2: Urban Diversity
Tamasing, Oldgirl, and Sau Nga Chun taking the railway with you in the peak-hours!
Container 3: Thought Provocation
Introducing the featured comic artists with “giant” four-frame comics, come and immerse yourself in the comic world and become part of the character’s stories.
Container 4: Pop Culture
Check out the development and the relationship of local comic works and the pop culture, do not miss the chance to see the unique and intriguing exhibits!

* Selected comic and animation characters will be displayed before 7 May 2025 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza.

Special Moment for Inbound Tour Groups

In order to let more travellers experience Hong Kong's diverse and unique pop culture, the organiser has arranged a special moment for inbound tour groups visiting Hong Kong.  Tour groups visiting the exhibition from 4:30 to 6:00 pm on Friday, 2 May 2025 will have a chance to receive an exclusive gift (limited quantity, first-come-first-served).

The TIC encourages travel agents to incorporate this exhibition into the itineraries of the inbound tours, so as to bring travellers a brand new experience of Hong Kong's pop culture, allowing them to immerse themselves in the world of comics and take pictures with their favourite characters.
