The Development Fund for the Travel Industry, which is established and financed by the Airport Authority Hong Kong and which has two components of “Training Activities” and “Promotional Activities”, is aimed at enhancing the overall competitiveness of the local travel industry through subsidising the two kinds of activities beneficial to travel agents.
As the secretariat of the Development Fund, the TIC has set up the Working Group on Development Fund for the Travel Industry to handle various matters related to the Development Fund. An independent Vetting Committee has also be formed to consider and approve all applications for subsidy.
