The HKSAR Government today announced that the Chief Executive has appointed Mr Kevin LAM Sze-cay to succeed Mr MA Ho-fai as Chairperson of the Travel Industry Authority (TIA), appointed 15 new members and reappointed 12 incumbent members, for a period of two years with effect from 1 January 2026.

With Chairperson Lam’s capable leadership, together with the professional knowledge and extensive experience of the members and the executive office team, the TIA will certainly continue to shoulder its important responsibilities, effectively fulfilling its regulatory and service functions, driving the industry to enhance professional standards, and promoting the long-term healthy development of Hong Kong’s tourism industry. Meanwhile, the TIC also extends sincere gratitude to the outgoing Chairperson Mr Ma Ho-fai for his close liaison and cooperation with us over the years, in particular his significant contribution to the smooth transition of the new regulatory regime in 2022 which is deeply appreciated.
