The HKSAR Government announced yesterday that Ms Ann Chan Wai-yan, currently Deputy Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury (Treasury), will take up the post of Commissioner for Tourism on 25 June 2026.

The TIC extends its warmest welcome to this appointment. Ms Ann Chan Wai-yan possesses extensive administrative and management experience and has previously served in the Tourism Commission, giving her a deep understanding of the relevant work. The TIC will fully support the HKSAR Government in seizing the major opportunities arising from the National 15th Five-Year Plan. Under the outstanding leadership of Ms Chan, the TIC will work hand-in-hand with the travel trade to promote the high-quality and sustainable development of Hong Kong’s tourism industry.
