TIC Encourages Travel Agents to Promote this New Tourist Hotspot 

In May 2025, the Government announced nine projects implemented by the Working Group on Developing Tourism Hotspots to offer inbound visitors with diverse travel experiences. Hong Kong Industrial Brand Tourism is one of the projects with an aim to showcase Hong Kong industrial brand stories through tours organised by the travel trade, creating hotspots for visitors to tour, experience and shop.

As the implementation agent for the project, the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong (TIC) has launched a dedicated booking platform on the 【GreaterGo】. This platform features detailed information including highlights of visit, guided tour schedule, etc. to facilitate licensed travel agents to make bookings for their inbound tour groups. The project is currently in its trial phase and travel agents are welcome to submit applications from now on for the guided tours between December 2025 and February 2026. 

With support from the Government, the trial phase features industrial brands located at Tai Po Innovation Park, including Kee Wah Bakery, Lee Kum Kee, and Yakult. These brands not only share their brand stories but also offer a variety of engaging activities, such as factory tours, food tastings, and hands-on workshops, giving visitors a deeper understanding of high-quality “Made in Hong Kong” products.

Industrial tourism is highly recommended for student groups, business and MICE travellers, as well as visitors seeking authentic and distinctive experiences. The TIC encourages members to actively develop specialised industrial tourism itineraries, creating better travel experiences for inbound tour groups, thereby allowing them to explore Hong Kong’s rich industrial heritage and telling Hong Kong’s story that fully embody the Lion Rock Spirit.
